Why should you book Children's Party Plus?
Children's Party Plus has been serving the Carolinas since 2009. We take great pride in bringing theme park quality character entertainment. Our professionally trained, diverse cast brings life to fairytale characters , superheroes, cartoon characters and more. What sets us apart is our performers go thru extensive training, perform in the our beautiful custom made costuming while truly embodying the spirit of the character.
How do I book Children's Party Plus?
Booking is required via our contact page and completing the inquiry form. Please allow up to 48 hours (this excludes weekends Saturday - Monday and holidays). We will reply with availability, next steps and any other important info pertinent to your inquiry. You are not booked with Children's Party Plus until you receive your invoice and pay your 50% booking fee. All payments are handled digitally via our secure payment processor we accept all major credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers and Apple Pay.
How far in advance should I book?
We encourage booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance. We do tend to book up to 8 weeks in advance and contingent on others bookings, performer availability and etc. We try to assist with last minute request as best as possible depending on other bookings and performer availablility.
Do you travel outside of Charlotte?
Our services are based from our office in zip code 28269 and we travel within the Greater Charlotte area. If closer to Triad (Greensboro, High Point area) or RDU (Raleigh, Durham areas) we have some performers available in those areas as well. Our pricing includes travel up to 20 miles from our office above. Travel availability are on a request basis factoring in date, time, services requested, location and performer availability.
Are performers able accept gratuity?
Yes, our performers are able to accept gratuity. Gratuities should be paid in cash (preferred) or sent via our PayPal.me/childrenspartyplus. Gratuity isn't expected but certainly appreciated.
Will the character or princess I book be the one in the photographs on the website?
Our website features many of our performers as we always try to keep our website up to date on current performers. Your performer will be appropriately cast in likeness and personality.
Are you able to create custom characters?
We love special request and certainly open to bringing your ideas to life. Please email us your ideas, details and we will certainly do our best to bring some CHARACTER to your idea!
Do you have a venue?
We don't have a venue and visit venues of all sizes, locations and looks all around the Carolinas. We have a few venues and partners that we can refer you to for your celebration.
What if I need to reschedule my party or event?
We hope you won't need to reschedule but understand life happens. We do ask all rescheduling request be sent in writing to our email address at email@example.com 72 hours before your confirmed booking. If you're unable to email less than 72 hours in advance, please email us as soon as possible.
May I host my celebration or appearance outside?
Absolutely! We love outdoor appearances and will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note we don't do appearances in wet conditions (rain, sleet, hail) even if protected. As many of our costumes have long trains and such where they extend beyond the performers. For appearances during warmer months we don't allow our performers to perform outside in temperatures over 82 degree (for mascot style characters). For face characters any outdoor events during the warmer months will require shade including porch, patio, tent, garage and etc. Please note depending on the time of your request we have the right to request accommodations for our performers if weather looks to be shifting.
What do I need to provide for my appearance?
All characters and performers will bring the required supplies for their appearances. We do require a safe space to perform with toys and such cleared from the area. Smoking is prohibited in the appearance area, smoke can be easily absorbed into our custom costuming and be incredibly difficult to remove. We also kindly request there be no roaming pets in the appearance space while we attend your celebration or event.
Can the characters hold my child?
All characters and performers are trained to keep the magic alive and safety is a top priority. Performers are unable to hold your baby and children without being a chair or approved seating component.
Public Appearance Policies
We are known for appearing in family oriented environments. We ask you to use your discretion and common sense including no inappropriate clothing or behavior including:
We expect all guests to behave in a family friendly manner. Any line jumping, profanity and unruly behavior are considered offensive to other guests and could result in being asked to leave the appearance and/or event.
If you exit the line and choose to return you're expected to return to the back of the line.
No alcoholic beverages can be in the meet n' greet area, in photographs or videos with our characters and staff.
Guests and hosts should avoid clothing that may be considered inappropriate for our family friendly services. Clothing and visible tattoos that depict violence, nudity, vulgarity or discriminatory language or graphics are prohibited in the appearance areas and with our characters and staff.
Guests should not use profanity or abusive language, symbols or gestures towards Children's Party Plus staff, performers, vendors or guests. Guests who do so may be asked to leave the appearance area and/or event.
No costume mask, veils, long trains, swords or weaponry are permitted in appearance areas or queue lines.
For public events (this means hosted by a client on public or private property) Guests over the age of 14 years are asked to not wear any costuming to our public and/ or public accessible appearances. If a guest(s) are spotted in a costume that is deemed not permissible , he or she will be asked to remove the costume, change or leave the appearance. Costumed guests may give the impression that they are a part of the Children's Party Plus team, giving false pretense to appropriate background checks and required vetting for hiring.
Children's Party Plus encourages a smoke free environment for our appearances including in the photo/meet n' greet areas and queue lines.
For HALLOWEEN & FALL EVENTS:
Guest(s) may dress as their favorite character(s), but may not pose for photos (in a manner impersonating said character) and sign autographs .
Costumes must be family friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive or violent.
